About The Staff

Jody Frey: Founder

Serving people is my mission.

As a graduate of West Point, I served on active duty for six years. After my military service, I spent nearly 25 years in corporate leadership or running a small business.

While working with people in those endeavors, I returned to college and received my Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. In addition, I have skills as a CCTP-II (Certified Clinical Trauma Professional Level II) and EMDR-Trained narrative therapist.

If you don’t find me in my office…

…look out back, as I am likely on my tractor or finding ways to tear stuff up. If you are curious about the picture, this is my son on an International H that my grandpa purchased new in 1947.

I also enjoy sports, video games, and exercise.

Ashley Valerius

After nearly a decade in Colorado, I’ve found my passion for supporting others through life’s challenges. Originally from the Midwest, I moved from Wisconsin in my late 20s with a background in Music Education. My journey into mental health began when I spent 8 years working in adult foster care. This experience led me to applied behavior analysis (ABA), where I worked with children with autism, sparking my interest in combining behavioral science with therapeutic support.

Ashley is a Marriage and Family Therapist Candidate (MFT-C) who works with individuals, couples, and families looking to improve communications, strengthen relationships, and navigate life’s challenges with greater clarity and connection.
Her approach is rooted in creating a space where clients feel safe to be honest, explore their experiences, and begin making meaningful, lasting changes in how they relate to themselves and others. Ashley primarily uses Narrative Therapy and Solution-Focused approaches to help clients better understand their patterns and move toward the life and relationships they want.

Ashley also brings a strong foundation in behavioral science as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This background allows her to help clients identify patterns in behavior and develop practical, realistic strategies for change—while keeping the focus on emotional growth and relational healing within the therapy space.

With experience supporting both children and families, Ashley has a special interest in relationship repair, parenting support, and improving family communication. She is passionate about helping clients feel more connected, empowered, and confident as they move forward—one story at a time.
