Where is your office located?
With the ease of virtual meetings, I can meet you anywhere, but my main office location is:
12655 Black Forest Road, Suite 172Colorado Springs, CO 80908
Google Maps shows the address on the left side of Black Forest Road. However, I am co-located with Black Forest Veterinary Clinic on the right side of the road at the back of the building.
What are your regular working hours?
How long are the sessions, and what will I pay?
Regular sessions run 53 minutes, and I also have options for 30- or 45-minute sessions. We will tailor that to fit your needs. Each 53-minute session is $120.00, and I prorate for shorter sessions.
I charge you for the entire missed session if you cancel within 24 hours and are a no-show.
See my billing FAQ below for more details.
Why don’t you take insurance?
Rather than diagnose you, report what I find to an insurance company, and learn what they recommend for treatment, I can offer a confidential experience for my clients. Instead of prescribing you something that may be unnecessary, I can provide you with the advice and treatment that I genuinely believe will help you the most.
Here are several other benefits of private pay:
You don’t have to worry about losing your insurance after starting treatment, and there will be no mental health records that someone can use against you.
You don’t need to prove you have a “medical necessity” to receive treatment, and you can make your own decisions regarding your treatment.
Your treatment will be 100% confidential, and you won’t have to share regular updates with your insurance company.
What is therapy like with you?
Isn’t therapy for weak people, or what if I don’t think therapy works?
Many people feel that they don’t need therapy or that therapy is just a game. Honestly, I was one of those people as I grew up. But after years of struggling at feeling like I had to figure out everything on my own, I realized there is no reason not to seek help and support from those trained in helping others.
Think about it. Michael Jordan had a coach. You go to doctors for broken bones. Seeking therapy is no different. Strong people have support all around them.
What do you do when not helping others?
