About The Staff
Jody Frey: Founder
Serving people is my mission.
As a graduate of West Point, I served on active duty for six years. After my military service, I spent nearly 25 years in corporate leadership or running a small business.
While working with people in those endeavors, I returned to college and received my Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. In addition, I have skills as a CCTP-II (Certified Clinical Trauma Professional Level II) and EMDR-Trained narrative therapist.
If you don’t find me in my office…
…look out back, as I am likely on my tractor or finding ways to tear stuff up. If you are curious about the picture, this is my son on an International H that my grandpa purchased new in 1947.
I also enjoy sports, video games, and exercise.
Ashley Valerius
After nearly a decade in Colorado, I’ve found my passion for supporting others through life’s challenges. Originally from the Midwest, I moved from Wisconsin in my late 20s with a background in Music Education. My journey into mental health began when I spent 8 years working in adult foster care. This experience led me to applied behavior analysis (ABA), where I worked with children with autism, sparking my interest in combining behavioral science with therapeutic support.
Currently, I am working towards licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist, as well as certification as a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). My therapeutic philosophy is centered around creating an environment where sharing the deepest parts of yourself feels comfortable and empowering. I primarily use Narrative Therapy and Solution-Focused approaches to help my clients improve communication and strengthen their relationships.
My approach integrates the practical principles of ABA with the emotional depth of talk therapy, helping children, individuals, couples, and families discover their personal stories and develop the tools to transform how they relate to themselves and others.
